Salah memilih camilan dapat memberi dampak negatif bagi pengelolaan kadar gula darah penyandang diabetes.<\/p>\n<p>Kunci utama dalam mengontrol kadar gula darah adalah penerapan pola makan yang seimbang. Asupan karbohidrat perlu diseimbangkan dengan asupan zat gizi lain, seperti protein, serat, dan lemak sehat, sesuai dengan kebutuhan.<\/p>\n<p>Penyandang diabetes disarankan untuk memilih camilan yang rendah karbohidrat dan tinggi akan protein, serat, dan lemak sehat. Berikut ini adalah tiga jenis camilan yang baik untuk penyandang diabetes, seperti dilansir\u00a0<em>Insider,<\/em>\u00a0Sabtu (8\/8).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Camilan Tinggi Protein<\/strong><br \/>\nMengonsumsi camilan tinggi protein tidak menyebabkan kenaikan yang tajam pada kadar gula darah. Ahli gizi Amy Stephen MS RDN CDE mengatakan camilan tinggi protein tak membutuhkan banyak insulin untuk dicerna.<\/p>\n<p>Beberapa camilan tinggi protein, seperti beberapa\u00a0<em>protein bar<\/em>\u00a0tak hanya tinggi protein tetapi juga karbohidrat. Mengonsumsi camilan tinggi protein yang juga tinggi karbohidrat tetap akan menyebabkan kenaikan tajam pada kadar gula darah penyandang diabetes.<\/p>\n<p>Stephen memberikan beberapa contoh camilan tinggi protein yang aman untuk penyandang diabetes. Kelebihan asupan protein juga dapat membuat kadar gula darah menjadi tinggi bila tubuh melepas gula-gula yang tersimpan sebagai respon terhadap hormon tertentu.<\/p>\n<p>Kebutuhan protein dalam satu hari akan sangat dipengaruhi oleh usia, berat badan, tinggi badan, jenis kelamin, dan tingkat aktivitas fisik. Secara umum, Joslin Diabetes Center merekomendasikan 20-30 persen dari total kebutuhan kalori harian berasal dari protein. Hal ini dapat mencegah terjadinya lonjakan kadar gula darah sesaat setelah makanan tersebut dikonsumsi.<\/p>\n<p>Studi dalam\u00a0<em>Experimental and Therapeutic Medicine Journal<\/em>\u00a0pada 2016 juga menunjukkan bahwa penyandang diabetes tipe 2 yang rutin mengonsumsi serat memiliki kadar gula darah yang lebih baik. Makanan yang mengandung lemak sehat juga cenderung dicerna dengan lebih lama sehingga tidak menyebabkan peningkatan tajam pada kadar gula darah.<\/p>\n<p>Seperti halnya protein, tubuh juga tidak mengubah lemak menjadi glukosa untuk energi. Molekul lemak biasanya akan dipecah dan langsung digunakan sebagai energi, atau akan emlalui proses\u00a0<em>gluconeogenesis<\/em>\u00a0yang mengubah lemak menjadi glukosa dalam jangka waktu yang panjang.<\/p>\n<p>Lemak sehat juga dapat membantu mengontrol berat badan. Alasannya, asupan lemak sehat dapat memberikan rasa kenyang yang bertahan lebih lama.<\/p>\n<p>Stephens memberikan beberapa rekomendasi makanan dengan lemak sehat untuk penyandang diabetes.
