JAKARTA, Nawacita<\/a> <\/strong>– Perusahaan internet dan media sosial turut memerangi virus korona. Google telah menghilangkan aplikasi terkait coronavirus dan COVID-19. Langkah tersebut dilakukan Google untuk menghentikan penyebaran informasi yang salah tentang virus tersebut.<\/p>\n

Selain itu, isu COVID-19 juga telah dimanfaatkan pengembang untuk meraup untung. Aplikasi sederhana dengan informasi ataupun konten minim manfaat justru digunakan menampilkan iklan atau ajakan penggunaan fitur premium.<\/p>\n

Dilansir dari laman\u00a0GSM Arena,<\/em>\u00a0Kamis (5\/3\/2020) Google bukan satu-satunya perusahaan teknologi yang melangkah untuk mengekang penyebaran informasi menyesatkan tentang COVID-19.<\/p>\n

Facebook mengambil pendekatan serupa. Mark Zuckerberg mengatakan bahwa pihaknya telah memberi ruang iklan ke Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (WHO) secara gratis serta mengarahkan pencarian terkait virus korona ke informasi dari WHO atau otoritas kesehatan setempat.<\/p>\n

Tidak hanya itu, klaim palsu dan teori konspirasi juga akan dihapus, dan siapa pun yang mencoba memanfaatkan situasi dengan mengiklankan obat ajaib akan menemukan akun mereka diblokir.<\/p>\n
