Kali ini Apple harus membayar USD 500 juta (Rp 7,1 triliun) untuk menyelesaikan gugatan class-action di Amerika Serikat.<\/p>\n<p>Dikutip\u00a0detikINET\u00a0dari Reuters, Selasa (3\/3\/2020) Apple diharuskan membayar USD 25 per perangkat yang terdampak kepada pemilik iPhone tertentu. Secara total, Apple harus merogoh kocek minimal USD 310 juta dan maksimum USD 500 juta untuk ganti rugi kepada konsumennya.<\/p>\n<p>Jumlah ganti rugi yang diterima pengguna iPhone bisa bertambah atau berkurang tergantung pada berapa banyak klaim yang diajukan serta biaya dan pengeluaran legal yang diterima pengadilan.<\/p>\n<div class=\"clearfix\"><\/div>\n<p>Perusahaan yang berbasis di Cupertino, AS ini mengaku tidak bersalah dan memutuskan menyelesaikan kasus ini untuk menghindari biaya dan proses ligitasi.<\/p>\n<p>Pengguna\u00a0iPhone\u00a0yang berhak mendapatkan ganti rugi ini adalah mereka yang memiliki iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, 7, 7 Plus atau SE yang menjalankan iOS 10.2.1 atau setelahnya. Selain itu, pengguna iPhone 7 dan 7 Plus yang menjalankan iOS 11.2 atau setelahnya sebelum 21 Desember 2017 juga termasuk.<\/p>\n<p>Penyelesaian kasus hukum ini akhirnya dicapai setelah proses yang berlangsung selama lebih dari dua tahun. Pada Desember 2017, Apple mengaku menggunakan update software untuk melambatkan sejumlah iPhone seri lawas.<\/p>\n<p>Beberapa pengguna menduga Apple melakukan hal ini untuk memaksa mereka membeli iPhone baru. Tapi, perusahaan besutan Steve Jobs ini mengaku update tersebut diluncurkan untuk mengatasi masalah pada baterai lithium-ion.<\/p>\n<p>kemudian meminta maaf dan menawarkan program penggantian baterai kepada penggunanya sebesar USD 29. Akibat program penggantian baterai ini, CEO Apple Tim Cook mengaku pendapatan Apple di tahun 2018 menurun.<\/p>\n<p>Sebelumnya otoritas Italia dan Prancis telah menjatuhkan denda kepada Apple atas kontroversi ini.
