Jumlahnya setara dengan 11 juta kematian per tahun.<\/p>\n<p>Angka itu membuat kebiasaan makan yang tidak sehat telah menjadi penyebab kematian lebih banyak daripada dua faktor seperti tembakau dan tekanan darah tinggi. Dilansir laman\u00a0<em>CBS News<\/em>, pola makan tak sehat misalnya banyak mengonsumsi daging merah, daging olahan, hingga minuman berpemanis namun rendah asupan buah dan sayur.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Pola makan seperti itu secara keseluruhan telah menyebabkan lebih banyak kematian daripada faktor risiko lainnya secara global,&#8221; jelas penulis penelitian Ashkan Afshin, asisten profesor Ilmu Kesehatan Metrik di Universitas Washington.<\/p>\n<p>Studi yang dipublikasikan dalam jurnal\u00a0<em>The Lancet<\/em>\u00a0itu melacak tren konsumsi 15 elemen makanan dari 1990 hingga 2017 di 195 negara. Tren itu termasuk konsumsi rendah buah-buahan, sayuran, kacang-kacangan, biji-bijian, susu, serat, kalsium, asam lemak omega-3 makanan laut, dan lemak tak jenuh ganda.<\/p>\n<p>Analisis menemukan sekitar 11 juta kematian disebabkan oleh pola makan atau diet yang tidak sehat pada 2017. Itu dikaitkan dengan 10 juta kematian akibat penyakit jantung, 913 ribu kematian akibat kanker terkait obesitas, dan hampir 339 ribu kematian akibat diabetes tipe 2.<\/p>\n<p>Konsumsi tinggi natrium serta rendah buah-buahan dan biji-bijian menyumbang lebih dari setengah kematian terkait pola makan di seluruh dunia. Dari 195 negara yang diteliti, Israel memiliki tingkat kematian terendah terkait pola makan dan Uzbekistan paling banyak, sementara Amerika Serikat peringkat ke-43.<\/p>\n<p>Para peneliti menemukan lebih banyak penyebab kematian adalah karena tidak makan makanan sehat yang cukup daripada makan terlalu banyak makanan tidak sehat.
