JAKARTA | Nawacita – Ketua Umum DPP PDI Perjuangan Megawati Soekarnoputri menyampaikan duka cita yang mendalam atas wafatnya Kyai Hasyim Muzadi. Berikut pandangan mantan Megawati yang pernah berpasangan dengan Hasyim saat pilpres 2004 lalu.<\/p>\n

“Beliau sosok yang mampu menciptakam suasana damai di tengah berbagai perbedaan. Selain dikenal pandanganya yang  moderat, toleran dan penuh welas asih. Kyai Hasyim juga mampu menjadikan diri beliau sebagai jembatan persaudaraan umat beriman. Berbagai tokoh agama dan kepercayaan merasakan  kebijaksanaan beliau,” ujar Megawati sebagaimana disampaikan Sekjen DPP PDI Perjuangan Hasto Kristiyanto, Kamis (16\/3).<\/p>\n

Hasto menyampaikan beberapa kesan dan pesan dari Presiden RI kelima tersebut atas Kyai Hasyim.
\nMegawati Soekarnoputri mengungkapkan bahwa Kyai Hasyim adalah sosok sahabat sejati dan mereka bersama menjadi mitra berjuang pada saat Pilpres 2004. 
\n“Kami terus menjaga persahabatan dan sering menghadiri acara yang digagas beliau. Bahkan ketika saya diminta oleh PM Thailand, Thaksin, agar membantu menyelesaikan ketegangan di Thailand Selatan akibat masalah agama, saya meminta bantuan KH Hasyim Muzadi bersama Bapak Hasan Wirayuda untuk membentuk International Conference of Islamic Scholars,” ujar Megawati. 
\n“Terbukti kemudian ICIS mampu menjadi wahana  untuk mewujudkan dialog yang konprehensif guna memerkuat wajah Islam yang moderat, toleran dan penuh dengan semangat perdamaian,” tambah Megawati.
