Saat nasi yang sudah dimasak didinginkan selama beberapa jam, sebagian karbohidratnya berubah menjadi pati resisten.<\/p>\n<p>Pati resisten bisa dicerna perlahan, mencegah lonjakan gula darah secara tiba-tiba. Pati resisten juga berfungsi seperti serat, membuat kenyang lebih lama, baik untuk kesehatan usus, menghasilkan asam lemak dan baik untuk kekebalan tubuh.<\/p>\n<p>Namun ternyata, nasi dingin juga memiliki efek samping. Menurut para ahli, saat nasi dibiarkan terlalu lama pada suhu ruangan setelah dimasak, bakteri bisa berkembang biak dan bisa menyebabkan mual, muntah, diare, atau kram perut.<\/p>\n<p>Artinya, meskipun keduanya aman dan sehat, hal tersebut bergantung pada tujuan masing-masing individu.<\/p>\n<p>Nasi hangat bisa menyebabkan gula darah yang lebih tinggi, tapi mudah dicerna.
