Banyak orang bahkan merasa tak bisa memulai hari tanpa secangkir teh.<\/p>\n<p>Namun, ternyata beberapa kebiasaan minum teh justru dapat merusak sistem pencernaan, bukannya memberi manfaat bagi kesehatan usus.<\/p>\n<p>dr Saurabh Sethi, ahli gastroenterologi yang menempuh pendidikan di Stanford dan Harvard, mengungkap kebiasaan minum teh yang bisa merusak usus. (Ilustrasi)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>1. Minum teh saat perut kosong<\/h3>\n<p>Minum teh sebelum sarapan bisa memberi efek buruk pada pencernaan. Saat berpuasa semalaman, lambung tetap dalam kondisi asam. Teh mengandung kafein dan tanin yang bisa memicu peningkatan produksi asam lambung.<\/p>\n<p>Kombinasi ini dapat menyebabkan asam lambung naik, kembung, dan iritasi pada lapisan usus. Jika terjadi berulang, kondisi ini bisa menimbulkan peradangan kronis yang merusak mukosa usus, sehingga mengganggu pencernaan dan penyerapan nutrisi.<\/p>\n<p>Orang yang sering minum teh sebelum makan juga dilaporkan mengalami kecemasan dan penurunan energi. Lebih baik, konsumsi teh setelah makan.<\/p>\n<h3>2. Menambahkan gula berlebihan<\/h3>\n<p>Banyak orang menambahkan gula agar teh terasa manis. Namun, konsumsi gula berlebih justru merusak kesehatan usus. Gula menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung pertumbuhan bakteri berbahaya di saluran pencernaan, sehingga menimbulkan kembung, sembelit, hingga gangguan keseimbangan bakteri usus.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam jangka panjang, kebiasaan ini meningkatkan risiko obesitas dan diabetes. Manfaat antioksidan teh juga bisa hilang jika ditambahkan terlalu banyak gula.<\/p>\n<h3>3. Teh detoks atau pelangsing<\/h3>\n<p>Produk teh detoks atau pelangsing sering dijual dengan klaim menurunkan berat badan cepat, tapi efek sampingnya berbahaya bagi pencernaan. Kandungan laksatif, kafein, dan herbal tertentu bisa menyebabkan iritasi usus, sakit perut, diare, hingga dehidrasi.<\/p>\n<p>Efek laksatifnya memberi ilusi seolah usus lebih bersih, padahal jika digunakan terus-menerus justru bisa merusak fungsi usus alami dan mikrobiota. Ini Penjelasannya!<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>4. Konsumsi ekstrak teh hijau berlebihan<\/h3>\n<p>Teh hijau kaya polifenol yang mendukung bakteri baik dalam usus. Namun, jika dikonsumsi dalam bentuk ekstrak berlebihan, bisa menyebabkan mual, diare, dan gangguan lambung.<\/p>\n<p>Kandungan kafein dan tanin di dalamnya juga bisa memperburuk masalah pencernaan. Dianjurkan tidak lebih dari 3-4 cangkir per hari, atau lebih sedikit bila sensitif.<\/p>\n<h3>5. Minum teh terlalu panas<\/h3>\n<p>Teh yang diminum dengan suhu lebih dari 60 derajat celcius dapat merusak lapisan esofagus dan lambung, memicu peradangan dan sensitisasi jaringan mukosa.<\/p>\n<p>Kontak berulang dengan cairan panas membuat jaringan lebih rentan terhadap zat berbahaya, serta bisa menimbulkan luka bakar pada mulut dan tenggorokan. Sebaiknya, minum teh hangat dengan suhu nyaman, bukan mendidih.<\/p>\n<h3>6. Minum teh di malam hari<\/h3>\n<p>Minum teh (chai atau teh hijau) pada malam hari bisa mengganggu tidur karena kandungan kafeinnya. Kualitas tidur yang buruk berhubungan erat dengan kesehatan usus.
