Lantas, bagaimana dengan mereka yang tidak selalu BAB setiap harinya?<\/p>\n<p>Faktanya, para ahli menyebut bahwa tidak semua orang memiliki jadwal BAB yang sama. Cek Penjelasannya<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&#8220;Jika kita mengibaratkan buang air besar seperti membuang sampah, maka yang penting adalah memastikan hal itu terjadi secara teratur,&#8221; kata dia.<\/p>\n<p>Lagi pula, seseorang bisa tetap sehat walaupun hanya buang air besar tiga kali dalam seminggu, selama bentuk fesesnya normal dan tidak ada gejala seperti perut kembung atau sakit saat mengejan.<\/p>\n<p>Faktor-faktor seperti pola makan, asupan cairan, tingkat stres, konsumsi obat tertentu, dan aktivitas fisik juga turut memengaruhi frekuensi BAB.<\/p>\n<p>Tapi, apa sebenarnya yang terjadi dalam tubuh saat tidak BAB?<\/p>\n<p>Setiap kali Anda makan atau minum, sistem pencernaan mulai bekerja memecah makanan menjadi nutrisi penting. Sisa dari proses ini akan ditampung di usus besar hingga akhirnya dikeluarkan. Jika proses ini tidak terjadi secara rutin, beberapa gejala tidak nyaman pun bisa muncul.<\/p>\n<p>Ahli diet Jenna Volpe menjelaskan, feses yang tertahan di dalam usus bisa mengalami fermentasi, menyebabkan perut kembung dan gas berlebih.<\/p>\n<p>Selain itu, feses yang terlalu lama berada di usus juga akan kehilangan kelembapan, menjadi kering dan keras sehingga sulit dikeluarkan. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan tekanan berlebih pada dasar panggul dan memicu wasir bahkan luka di sekitar anus.<\/p>\n<p>Meski terdengar mengkhawatirkan, tidak ada bukti ilmiah yang mendukung klaim bahwa menahan BAB bisa membuat racun menumpuk dan meracuni tubuh.<\/p>\n<p>Tubuh manusia, khususnya mikrobioma usus, memiliki sistem pertahanan yang sangat kuat. Prosedur pembersihan usus yang terlalu sering justru berisiko mengganggu keseimbangan bakteri baik di dalam usus.<\/p>\n<h3>Kapan harus khawatir?<\/h3>\n<p>Tidak BAB selama satu atau dua hari belum tentu masalah. Perubahan pada bentuk, warna, atau frekuensinya yang disertai ketidaknyamanan perlu diperhatikan.<\/p>\n<h3>Cara memperlancar buang air besar<\/h3>\n<p>Jika Anda merasa sulit BAB, beberapa langkah sederhana ini bisa membantu memperlancar sistem pencernaan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Perbanyak minum air<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Konsumsi serat tinggi tanpa cukup air justru memperburuk sembelit. Air membantu melunakkan feses sehingga lebih mudah dikeluarkan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Kelola stres<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stres dapat memperlambat kerja usus. Koneksi antara otak dan usus sangat kuat. Jika pikiran Anda tegang, saluran cerna pun ikut terganggu.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Konsumsi makanan kaya serat<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tambahkan makanan berserat seperti buah-buahan, sayuran, biji chia, dan biji rami ke dalam menu harian. Tapi ingat, selalu imbangi dengan cukup cairan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.
