Proses daur ulang juga boros air dan bahan kimia, serta menghasilkan limbah berbahaya.<\/p>\n<p>Metode baru itu masih dalam tahap pengembangan. Pertama, daur ulang membantu melestarikan sumber daya alam karena litium merupakan sumber daya alam yang terbatas, sehingga mengurangi kebutuhan akan penambangan litium baru.<\/p>\n<p>Kedua, daur ulang dapat mengurangi dampak lingkungan karena baterai litium mengandung bahan berbahaya yang dapat mencemari lingkungan jika tidak dikelola dengan baik.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTerakhir, daur ulang juga meningkatkan ketahanan energi dengan memperluas pasokan litium untuk produksi baterai secara keseluruhan,\u201d kata Erik.
