Menurutnya, serat adalah karbohidrat kompleks yang sangat dibutuhkan, terutama untuk membantu proses pencernaan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDalam proses pencernaan itu, serat bisa membantu menyerap kolesterol dalam darah dan itu bagus untuk mengurangi kadar gula dalam darahnya,\u201d ujar Andrianto, Minggu (4\/6\/2023).<\/p>\n<p>Dia menjelaskan kalau serat terbagi menjadi dua jenis, yaitu serat yang larut dalam air serta tidak. Untuk serat yang larut dalam air, dia mencontohkan seperti buah-buahan dan kacang-kacangan.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_169472\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-169472\" style=\"width: 696px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nawacita.co\/?attachment_id=169472\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-169472\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-169472\" src=\"https:\/\/nawacita.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/001452800_1557204325-anna-pelzer-472429-unsplash-1024x576.webp\" alt=\"ilustrasi makanan tinggi serat\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-169472\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">ilustrasi makanan tinggi serat<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cSementara yang tidak larut dalam air adalah sayur-sayuran hijau. Nah, untuk orang yang kontispasi (sulit buang air besar) dianjurkan konsumsi serat jenis ini karena akan membuat feses (tinja) jadi lebih halus sehingga mempermudah buang air besar, plus kadar kolesterol menurun,\u201d jelasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Kebutuhan serat yang ideal, lanjut Dokter Andrianto, sekitar 25-35 gram per hari. Asupan serat itu akan lebih maksimal kalau dibarengi gizi seimbang seperti nasi, sayur, lauk pauk dan buah-buahan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cContohnya kalau pagi hari makan sayur cah kangkung, kalau kita konsumsi sekitar 25-50 gram kangkung itu rata-rata mengandung sekitar 15 gram serat. Kemudian, ya sup itu banyak serat karena jenis sayurannya beragam wortel, buncis dan sebagainya. Kecuali kalau makan buah-buahan untuk ambil vitamin C seperti jeruk, memang bagusnya lambung harus kosong. Semua tergantung konteks tujuan makan buahnya,\u201d ucap Adrianto.<\/p>\n<p>Terakhir, dia berpesan supaya masyarakat mengurangi kebiasaan terlalu sering konsumsi suplemen untuk memenuhi kebutuhan seratnya.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSecara teori kalau tiga hari berturut-turut makan nasi goreng, soto, mie instan dan sebagainya tanpa serat, bisa memicu kesulitan buang air besar. Maka dari itu, biasanya ada yang minum suplemen dan biasanya berujung <em>mules<\/em>.
