Puan Bertemu Ketua Parlemen Timor Leste Bahas \u2018Bilateral Investment Treaty\u2019<\/h1>\n

Jakarta, Nawacita<\/a><\/strong> | Puan bertemu Ketua Parlemen Timor Leste. Ketua DPR RI Puan Maharani dan Ketua Parlemen Republik Timor Leste, Aniceto Guterres Lopes, hari ini melakukan pertemuan bilateral di Gedung DPR, Senayan, Jakarta.<\/p>\n

Sejumlah hal penting dibacarakan dalam pertemuan antarketua parlemen dua negara bertetangga tersebut, termasuk usulan Puan soal Perjanjian Bilateral di Bidang Investasi (Bilateral Investment Treaty).<\/p>\n

\u201cSaya mendorong kedua negara untuk segera membentuk Bilateral Invesment Treaty untuk menciptakan iklim investasi yang lebih kondusif dan mendorong lebih banyak lagi investasi Indonesia ke Timor-Leste,\u201d kata Puan di Gedung Nusantara III, Kompleks Parlemen, Senayan, Jakarta, Selasa (23\/8\/2022).<\/p>\n

Usulan tersebut diawali dengan data yang disampaikan Puan bahwa nilai investasi Indonesia di Timor Leste saat ini mencapai USD 818 juta, terutama di sektor perbankan, migas dan telekomunikasi.<\/p>\n

\u201cSaya juga ingin mengapresiasi kepercayaan Timor-Leste terhadap perusahaan Indonesia untuk kerja sama investasi dan infrastruktur di Timor-Leste,\u201d ujar Puan.<\/p>\n

Selain perjanjian investasi, Puan juga mendorong kerjasama antarkomunitas bisnis kedua negara yang turut mengalami dampak pandemi Covid-19. Hal ini mengingat badan usaha yang dimiliki pengusaha WNI di Timor-Leste menurun akibat pandemi.<\/p>\n

\u201cUntuk itu kemudahan perdagangan harus kita lakukan bersama termasuk dengan mendorong misi bisnis dan promosi antarkedua negara dan mendorong kemudahan perdagangan di perbatasan,\u201d ujar Puan.<\/p>\n

Selain bidang ekonomi, Puan juga membahas sejumlah hal dalam topik kerjasama regional dan kerjasama antarparlemen. Untuk diketahui, DPR RI dan Parlemen Timor-Leste selama ini telah berinteraksi dalam sejumlah forum parlemen seperti Inter-Parliamentary Union.<\/p>\n

\u201cDPR RI memandang penting diplomasi parlemen baik secara bilateral, regional, dan global. Diplomasi Parlemen perlu dilakukan untuk melengkapi diplomasi antar Pemerintah,\u201d kata Puan yang terakhir bertemu Guterres Lopes pada Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) General Assembly ke-144 di Bali pada Maret lalu.<\/p>\n

Dalam pertemuan yang akrab dan bersahabat itu, Puan merasa senang atas kunjungan Guterres Lopes mengingat tahun ini adalah peringatan 20 tahun hubungan diplomatik Indonesia dengan Timor-Leste yang dibangun sejak 2 Juli 2002.<\/p>\n

\u201cSaya senang mendengar kunjungan Presiden Ramos-Horta pada 19 Juli 2022 ke Indonesia yang telah menghasilkan berbagai kesepakatan penting bagi kedua negara,\u201d kata Puan yang mengundang Guterres Lopes pada jamuan makan pada malam hari nanti.<\/p>\n

Sementara itu, Guterres Lopes juga menyampaikan undangan kepada Puan untuk berkunjung ke Timor Leste.<\/p>\n
