Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (<em>World Health Organization<\/em>\/WHO) meminta semua negara di kawasan Asia Tenggara memperkuat sistem pengawasan terhadap penyakit cacar monyet atau monkeypox yang mulai mewabah dan menjadi perhatian internasional.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCacar monyet telah menyebar dengan cepat ke banyak negara yang belum pernah mengalami kejadian sebelumnya,\u201d kata Poonam Khetrapal Singh, Direktur Regional WHO Asia Tenggara, Senin (25\/7\/2022).<\/p>\n<p>Seperti yang dilansir dari<em>\u00a0Antara,<\/em> Senin (25\/7\/2022). Empat kasus diantaranya ditemukan di Asia Tenggara, yakni India tiga kasus dan satu kasus dari Thailand. Kasus yang terjadi di India, dialami warga negara setempat setelah pulang dari Timur Tengah, sementara di Thailand dialami pelaku perjalanan internasional yang tinggal di negara setempat.<\/p>\n<p>Sebagai Informasi, virus cacar monyet ditularkan dari hewan yang terinfeksi ke manusia melalui kontak secara tidak langsung maupun langsung.
