Selain kapal laut, beberapa benda lainnya juga bekerja dengan hukum Archimedes, misalnya balon udara dan kapal selam.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Bunyi hukum Archimedes<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Hukum Archimedes dicetuskan oleh ahli matematika dan penemu asal Yunani, Archimedes. Menurut hukum Archimedes, suatu benda yang dicelupkan ke dalam zat cair akan mengalami gaya ke atas.<\/p>\n<p>Selengkapnya, &#8220;Jika dicelupkan sebagian atau seluruhnya ke dalam zat cair, maka benda akan mendapat gaya ke atas sebesar berat zat cair tersebut&#8221; merupakan bunyi hukum Archimedes.<\/p>\n<p>Dilansir dari Encyclopedia Britannica, volume zat cair yang dipindahkan sama dengan volume benda yang tercelup seluruhnya ke dalam zat cair atau dengan fraksi volume di bawah permukaan benda yang tercelup sebagian ke dalam zat cair.<\/p>\n<p>Berat bagian fluida yang dipindahkan sama dengan besarnya gaya apung.\u00a0 Gaya apung pada benda mengambang dalam cairan atau gas juga setara besarnya dengan berat benda mengambang dan berlawanan arah.\u00a0 Misalnya, sebuah kapal akan tenggelam ke laut sampai berat air yang dipindahkannya sama dengan beratnya sendiri.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Baca Juga:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nawacita.co\/index.php\/2020\/01\/24\/sains-dalam-al-quran-alasan-air-tawar-dan-laut-tak-bercampur\/\">Sains Dalam Al Quran , Alasan Air Tawar dan Laut Tak Bercampur<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jika berat suatu benda lebih kecil dari berat fluida yang dipindahkan, benda tersebut akan naik, seperti balok kayu di bawah permukaan air atau balon berisi helium yang dilepaskan di udara.\u00a0Sebuah benda yang lebih berat dari jumlah cairan yang dipindahkan, meski tenggelam ketika dilepaskan, mengalami kehilangan berat yang sama dengan berat cairan yang dipindahkan.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Penerapan hukum Archimedes<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Mengutip Sumber Belajar Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemdikbud), berikut adalah contoh penerapan hukum Archimedes di kehidupan sehari-hari.<\/p>\n<p>1. Kapal laut Sebagaimana telah disebutkan, kapal laut dapat terapung disebabkan oleh penerapan hukum Archimedes, yakni karena gaya angkat ke atas pada kapal sebanding dengan berat kapal. Kapal laut memiliki bentuk yang berongga sehingga volume air yang dapat dipindahkan lebih besar dan gaya angkat ke atasnya pun lebih besar.<\/p>\n<p>2. Kapal selam Kapal selam memiliki tangki yang terisi udara sehingga dapat mengapung di permukaan air. Ketika kapal masuk ke dalam air, tangki ini akan terisi air sehingga kapal dapat menyelam.<\/p>\n<p>3. Balon udara Udara termasuk jenis fluida. Balon udara berisi gas dengan massa jenis yang lebih kecil dari pada udara sekitar sehingga balon tersebut dapat terangkat dan naik ke atas.<\/p>\n<p>4. Kran otomatis pada penampungan air Jika menggunakan mesin pompa air, tangki penampungnya harus diletakkan pada ketinggian tertentu. Ini bertujuan agar ada tekanan besar untuk mengalirkan air.
