Sebagian dari perubahan ini bisa membawa dampak yang kurang baik bagi kesehatan dan perlu diantisipasi.<\/p>\n<p>Salah satu perubahan yang terjadi menjelang usia paruh baya adalah perubahan metabolik. Perubahan metabolik ini secara signifikan membuat penambahan berat badan bisa terjadi lebih mudah dan menahan penamabahan berat badan menjadi lebih sulit.<\/p>\n<p>Oleh karena itu, penting bagi tiap orang yang sudah memasuki usia 40 tahun untuk membuat pilihan-pilihan gaya hidup yang lebih sehat. Dalam hal\u00a0pola makan\u00a0misalnya, ada beberapa minuman dan makanan yang sebaiknya dihindari untuk menjaga kesehatan yang optimal. Berikut ini adalah empat makanan dan minuman di antaranya, seperti dikutip dari\u00a0<em>EatThis<\/em>, Sabtu.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minuman bersoda<\/strong><br \/>\nMinuman bersoda bukanlah asupan yang menyehatkan bagi semua kelompok usia. Akan tetapi, dampak buruk dari kebiasaan mengonsumsi minuman bersoda akan semakin terasa pada orang-orang yang sudah memasuki usia 40-an tahun.<\/p>\n<p><em>Adjunct professor<\/em>\u00a0di bidang nutrisi dari NYU Lisa Young PhD RDN mengatakan , minuman tinggi gula seperti soda berkaitan dengan kenaikan berat badan, obesitas, dan diabetes. Young mengatakan, individu berusia 40 tahun ke atas perlu lebih berhati-hati terhadap berat badan dan asupan gula mereka.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Ingat, kenaikan berat badan mengintai Anda seiring dengan proses penuaan,&#8221; ungkap Young.<\/p>\n<p>Mengonsumsi minuman bersoda tak membutuhkan kegiatan mengunyah. Oleh karena itu, kalori dan gula yang tinggi dari minuman bersoda bisa masuk ke dalam tubuh dalam jumlah banyak dengan mudah. Di saat yang sama, asupan ini tak memunculkan sinyal kenyang.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mentega<\/strong><br \/>\nPenggunaan mentega dalam sajian masakan sepertinya perlu dipertimbangkan ulang bagi individu yang sudah memasuki usia 40-an tahun. Mentega dikenal kaya akan lemak jenuh. Asupan lemak jenuh dapat meningkatkan kadar kolesterol dan berkontribusi pada penyakit jantung.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Seiring dengan pertambahan usia Anda, kolesterol Anda bisa meningkat, demikian juga risiko Anda terhadap penyakit jantung,&#8221; jelas Young.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Makanan manis olahan<\/strong><br \/>\nBeragam pencuci mulut yang manis dan lezat memang menggiurkan. Akan tetapi , makanan dan camilan tinggi gula seperti\u00a0<em>dessert<\/em>\u00a0olahan sebaiknya dihindari ketika seseorang memasuki usia 40 tahun ke atas.<\/p>\n<p>Makanan pencuci mulut seperti kue,\u00a0<em>cookie<\/em>, pie, dan permen kerap mengandung gula olahan. Kandungannya dapat memperburuk inflamasi dan nyeri otot. Makanan seperti ini juga bisa berkontribusi pada peningkatan berat badan yang cepat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alkohol<\/strong><br \/>\nMinum alkohol dapat menyebabkan mengganggu kesehatan lebih dari yang diperkirakan kebanyakan orang, khususnya ketika seseorang sudah memasuki usia 40-an tahun.
